TID-BITS ON THE EPSTEIN BARR VIRUS

aka. EBV, glandular fever, mononucleosis, mono, the kissing disease.

  • How common is it? Virtually everyone worldwide.
  • How is it caught? By saliva.
  • What are the symptoms? In babies and children, the symptoms are mild and most of the time go unnoticed. In teenagers and adults it causes a fever, swollen glands, aching joints, and may cause ongiong fatigue.
